Join us for an intimate, seated seminar on Tuesday, February 24th, featuring Carla Giusy Favati of I Favati Winery, one of Campania's most exciting estates.
Founded in the early 1900s, I Favati is based in the hilly heart of Irpinia, just east of Naples. The estate farms 16 hectares exclusively to Campania’s indigenous varieties, including Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo, and Aglianico.
This guided tasting will explore Irpinia’s terroir through I Favati’s lens, emphasizing their philosophy, vino è fatto nelle vigne ("wine is made in the vineyards.") Practicing organic viticulture, the estate intervenes minimally in the vines and vinifies with exceptional care: anaerobic pressing, low-temperature fermentations, extremely low sulfur use, with no fining or filtration.
