Jean-Marc Roulot is one of Meursault’s most renowned vignerons. Known for his mastery of ‘lieu-dit’ farming, Domaine Roulot has become regarded as one of the finest producers in the entire Cote de Beaune. The winery was founded in 1930, and since its creation, has cultivated rich and precise wines that reflect the place from which they come. When it comes to cream of the crop Meursault, 1er Crus from Roulot is basically as good as it gets. The ‘Clos des Boucheres’ is sophisticated and elegant, marked by notes of citrus, sea salt, baked nuts, and juicy yellow fruit. This unbelievable single-vineyard Meursault from Roulot is one for the books. Sophisticated and elegant, the wine is loaded with flavors of juicy yellow fruit, citrus skin, sea salt, and baked nuts. Fruit-forward notes of stone fruit and apple are turning a bit more tertiary and earthier, though the citrus-driven acidity and saline-tinged finish are still very much present.
