Tansy was founded in 2020 between friends Shelley Lindgren (of A16), and Kitty Oestlien over a meal discussing the possibilities of Italian grape varieties in California. United by an eagerness to realize this vision together, Shelley and Lindgren established this wine brand as a women owned/made label, with a focus on community and sustainable farming.
This single vineyard Pinot Noir comes from the Signal Ridge Vineyard in the Mendocino Ridge AVA; this is the highest vineyard site in Mendocino, Sonoma, and Napa counties at 2,642 feet of elevation! Flavors of bright red plum, wild strawberry, pomegranate, clove, evergreen, lavender, and alpine that transport you to the view of the Pacific high up under the Redwood forests. It’s as magical of a wine as the vineyard generously offers in the fruits. The balance of acidity, fruit and complexity of flavors keeps us unable to keep from enjoying all that this incredible Pinot noir offers. Drink this wine today, or hold for 8-10 years.
