Poderi Aldo Conterno is one of the great estates of Monforte d’Alba and has worked the Bussia hill for generations. The winery is known for its thoughtful and steady approach to Barolo; however, Chardonnay has become an important part of its identity. 'Bussiador' comes from several vineyard parcels in Bussia where limestone and clay help build natural structure. Grapes are harvested by hand and spend a short time in stainless steel before fermenting in new French barrique. The wine ages in wood and finishes in steel which brings balance to the richness developed in barrel. The result is a polished and structured Chardonnay with both freshness and the ability to age.
