Born in the 18th century under Carmelite monks, this historic estate was crowned a First Growth in the legendary 1855 Classification. Today, it benefits from the uncompromising, world-class standards of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), who have operated this iconic property adjacent to Château d’Yquem since 1984.

This bottling is a blend of 83% Sémillon and 17% Sauvignon Blanc. To create it, specialized pickers made successive passes through the vineyard, hand-harvesting only the grapes perfectly touched by botrytis (noble rot). The extracted nectar was then aged for 24 months in fine oak barrels from the Rothschilds' own cooperage.

Brilliantly structured, the 2017 vintage masterfully balances decadent sweetness with a racy, mineral backbone; this is a wine with incredible depth, offering dried fruits, orange marmalade, toffee, honey, and saffron on the palate. It is a flawless masterpiece to enjoy today or cellar for decades.
