The Thymiopoulos family has owned vineyards in Naoussa for several generations. Apostolos Thymiopoulos returned to his family’s vineyards after graduation and began producing wine for his own label Thymiopoulos Vineyards. It is the first certified Biodynamic winery in the region, and a vanguard of the Modern Greek wine movement.
This Xinomavro bottling is a blend of higher altitude parcels. Vines are young and non-irrigated, and grow on a mixture of schist, granite and limestone. Grapes are hand-picked, fermented in stainless steel tanks for 3 months before finishing in concrete tanks for 8 months.
This is a fresh and herbal-scented Xinomavro is full of bright red fruit and is a must have for a summer barbecue or your next pizza night!
