Founded in 2008 by Ken Pahlow and Erica Landon, Walter Scott focuses on small production Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that highlight the terroir of the Eola-Amity Hills. Fruit for ‘La Combe Verte’ comes from volcanic clay & stony soils. Partial whole cluster and native yeast fermentations are implemented followed by 10 months of oak aging. The final wine shows flavors of wild berries, mushroom, & forest floor, with hints of savory baking spice on the finish.
