Unlike neighboring wineries focused on sweeter styles of wine, Lauer has become synonymous with pure and precise bone dry bottles of Riesling from some of the Saar’s best vineyard sites. Unlike the vineyard sites of the Mosel, vines in the Saar are planted perpendicular (as opposed to parallel to) the river. This ‘Grand Cru’ varietal Riesling is textured, luscious, and fruit-forward, marked by serious spice undertones and a lingering finish.
