This ancient white grape is indigenous to Sicily, Italy and used mainly in the Etna DOC. Full of flavors of citrus, stone fruit and sea spray with a distinct volcanic-driven minerality. Primarily used as a blending grape, but also found in terroir-driven varietal wines like Benanti's benchmark Pietra Marina Etna Bianco Superiore bottle. Pair with grilled seafood, fresh salads, or sushi.
