The Mongeards’ and Mugnerets’ family roots run deep in Burgundy, which makes this joint collaboration pretty epic. The Mongeards first arrived in Vosne-Romanée in the 18th century and began working at DRC back in 1786. After following advice from Henri Gouges, the Mongeards started bottling wines under their own name in the early 20th century. The Mugnerets founded their family estate in 1933 and today, it is currently owned and operated by a trifecta of powerhouse sisters. Fruit for this entry-level Bourgogne Rouge is hand-harvested from 10 to 40-year-old vines and is marked by flavors of red berries, violets, and game. Drink young, serve chilled, enjoy the best that young Burgundy has to offer.
